  • Molecular subtyping and comparison of Salmonella isolates obtained from various food samples, as well as human and cattle cases. Methods utilized include PFGE (Pulsed field gel electrophoresis) and MLST (multi locus sequence typing) and bioinformatics.

  • Molecular subtyping and comparison of E. coli isolated from foods to determine the strain variability.

  • Building publicly available database for foodborne pathogens, representing geographically clustered isolates from Turkey

  • Evolutionary relatedness of multi-drug resistant in different Salmonella serotypes

  • Detection of biofilm forming foodborne pathogen strains and their interaction with different food processing surfaces
